Back in 2008 when I first starting investing in the Durham Region, it was easy to find single family homes that would bring in a cash flow of a few hundred dollars a month. Fast forward to today’s market and it’s definitely not as easy anymore.

Andy Tran’s Bio

From 2011 to present, Andy has been the Manager of Education Development for Carson, Dunlop & Associates Ltd., an engineering firm and private college specializing in home inspections since 1978. He is also an instructor for Ontario students wishing to become home inspectors.

Andy has seen numerous 2nd suites as a home inspector, and has advised many homeowners on how to do it correctly. Many were poorly constructed, some were outright dangerous, and most were illegal.

Andy hopes to provide as much information as he can based on his research, experience and training to assist those who have an interest in building it properly.

Howard’s Bio

I am a licensed member of The Law Society of Upper Canada. In 2006, I started at the

Community Legal Clinic in Simcoe, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes.

​I was Tenant Duty Counsel at The Landlord and Tenant Board between 2008-2013.

This gave me the unique opportunity to deal with Thousands of tenants and many different landlord and tenant situations.

I have been in Private Practice since 2013. I only represent Landlords. That’s all I do. Nothing else.

Having been on the other side, I am in a very advantageous and unique position in being able to assist landlords with any problems they might be experiencing with their tenants.

My philosophy is to provide all of my clients with superior, high quality and cost effective legal representation. I have an exemplary reputation for diligence, preparedness and a comprehensive knowledge of The Residential Tenancies Act.
